I went to the track today just to see how my body was feeling, it was a nice sunny day for a change so it seemed a shame to waste it. I essentially just did a competition warm-up, my hamstring was still a little sore but less so than yesterday. I'm not worried about it hurting this weekend. I am a little anxious about competing though. This is my last shot before Juniors to get a decent jump in in a perfect world I would like to be over 14.00m but I just want to get six solid jumps in and not waste the first three like I have done in the last two meets. I want to open up with a jump over 13.50m and adjust the next five until I reach an epitome.
I'm a little worried about my hop phase, on my last jump at the last meet I opened it up way to much and lost control of the jump. I don't want that to happen again. I would really appreciate a non-negative wind, I'm tired of -1m/s, -2.0m/s something in the 1.5m/s would be perfect. Alas the weather is out of control.
